The costs of these types of surgeries depend on various factors. Some types of surgeries are more expensive than others. Doctors with the latest equipment, a good location and great experience are charging significantly more.

A cosmetic surgery can easily consume up to ten thousand Dollars. And you will have to pay it all yourself because the health insurance does not pay for surgeries that are done for cosmetic reasons only. if there is no medical necessity behind the surgery, you will have to pay for every penny spent on the operation.

Financing is not available with every doctor. You can get only financing for doctors who have contracts with the company. The company then pays the money to the surgeon and not to you. The company keeps a certain percentage of the surgery costs, somewhere between five and ten percent. The rest goes to the doctor.

The financing company has a risk of course. They don’t know if you will be able to pay back the loan as agreed. It is an unsecured loan, that means the interest rates could be high. It pays to invest some time into research because there are sometimes interesting offers from these companies or doctors who look for new patients. You could catch a good deal probably by looking through the ads. Sometimes a doctor offers zero interest financing.

Don’t rush into a loan before you haven’t had detailed talks with your preferred plastic surgeon. It’s bad enough to loose money you already had, but losing the money from a loan just because the surgery didn’t went like expected is even worse. Every surgery can have complications. It is even possible that you have to go under second surgery. Make sure you have some room for financial changes whenever possible.
