Your food should be a completely balanced diet containing all the five food groups including carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, minerals and fats; all in appropriate quantity. A person who consumes all these five food groups daily in their respective amounts will not face the problem of obesity as well as other l problems.
Obesity is a serious problem and one can easily gain control over it by just following some simple steps. The first and foremost step to prevent obesity is to encourage physical activities and have healthy food choices. You can practice such physical activities that will burn out the extra calories in your body. These activities include regular exercise, walking running, trekking, cycling, skipping, etc. plus as mentioned, eating healthy food that promote better health and avoid health issues later in your life. To raise awareness for yourself, it is a good idea to keep track of your nutritional choices in a diary daily. This will encourage you to consume more fruit and vegetables and other food as recommended in the food pyramid.
Obesity not only attacks adults, it is rising dramatically in children. Parents can play a vital and supportive role to control the obesity of the child. If you as a parent are concerned about your child’s obesity, the first step is to encourage activity by playing with them. You can also indulge in activities like dancing around the living room, tossing a ball, building a snowman, shooting hoops, aerobics, cycling race, mountain trekking, etc. these activities will make the child mobile and flexible and assist is burning out the extra calories saturated in their body.
Obesity , if not taken care of in a timely manner may lead to life threatening problems for your children. Therefore, it is very important to act on it instantly. You can consult your family physicians or dieticians to chalk out a dietary plan for the week. There are a number of dietary plans designed by health professionals that target children. You can select any one of them with your doctor’s suggestions. Follow this plan strictly and ensure that you Avoid feeding your children fast foods, junk foods and oily food that will unnecessarily add up to the calories and clog their bodies. Again ensure that your child exercise regularly. This will help them to stay focused and active throughout the day.
